This was Isaiah on Sunday. I was sick so my mom took him to church (thanks mom!) so I could rest up. I started vomiting on Thurs and then Fri Isaiah had it. Sat we were both fine and then Sunday morning I started vomiting again. (No, I am not pregnant, even though many keep asking!) So my mom got these cute pics of Isaiah. He was being so cute. She just sat on our kitchen floor and Isaiah would run in to her, sit on the floor and smile so she could snap a picture, then run off until the next one. He is too sweet! Totally posing for the camera!

YMCA fun
Every year our church rents out the local "Y" for a Saturday evening. I couldn't wait to take Isaiah swimming. He always loves the water. Except for this night. I think there were too many kids and yelling and splashing at first. After a bunch of them cleared out, he had a blast. Then we couldn't get him away. Grandma had to hang him over the side for a while until he came in with momma. "Nana, take my picture!"
Just lounging!

Aunt Erin & Uncle Bill
Isaiah loving on Aunt Erin's hair. He is so crazy about hair and loves to rub his face on it. Playing with Uncle Bill's goofy beard. Isaiah thought it was silly!

Handsome
This is Isaiah looking so handsome one Sunday after church. Auntie Joy got him the vest and there is a hat. We never got the hat on for pictures. I just love this little man to pieces!

Snow Fun
Isaiah had a great time playing in the snow. This was one of our big storms in the past few weeks. We keep getting them. We built a little snowman. Bruno kept eating the snowballs when we first started. Isaiah thought it was funny! "But Momma, I can't stand the mittens!"

Erica's Painting
This is a painting of me. I found this site from someone's blog and you answer a few questions and a painting is created. I thought it was very pretty. Can you tell I am bored? Isaiah is napping and I should be cleaning, but taking off for the day. I have been busy with mission's conference at church, so I will rest!

Cute Boy
Isaiah thought it was too funny to run into Pap-pap, even though momma tries to teach him not to run into people or animals. I guess anything goes at the grandparents!
Mr Froggie always has to go for a ride on the tractor. Isaiah loves to hug and kiss him.

Check out the links
If you have time, check out the links to the right, especially the Confessions of a CF Husband. What an inspiring story of love, commitment and especially of the miracle of God. The wife has cystic fibrosis and while awaiting a double lung transplant, found out she was pregnant. The sweet baby girl is about 2 weeks old (born at 25 weeks in order to save her momma) and her momma is recovering and still waiting for a transplant. Pray for them and read their story. It will touch your heart! And make you believe in an awesome God!

15 month check-up
This is Isaiah last night 1/16 after being at the Dr's for his 15 month check-up. He did have 3 bandaides, but had gotten one off. They do them in his arm now that he walks, so his legs aren't sore. I'm thinking the legs would be better. He did great! Cried at first, but took a great nap and was wired. We got another pic of him when he escaped before his bath. But didn't think I should post it, so if you want to see it I can email it if you ask me. It is too cute! You can see why one of his nicknames is "Streaker".
Isaiah weighed 27lbs 4oz and was 32 inches tall. He is in the 90th % for weight and 85th% for height. My baby isn't so little anymore. Andy and I are thinking of talking to the Dr in March when I go about fertility meds again and hopefully getting them started by spring/summer. That is my plan at least.
Enjoy my bathing beauty!

Too cute
I wanted this picture to be our Christmas card and to write "hope your Christmas doesn't stink" But wasn't sure if people would like it, so I didn't. It is too cute not to post. The toilet is even "wearing" Isaiah's santa hat. So you can enjoy it now!

Heart Breaker
This is Isaiah in Aunt Erin's sunglasses. She thinks he looks like Elvis. She got him a shirt that says hunk of burnin' love. I thought heart breaker went well with it too.

Hiding
My dear son is daily teaching me the importance of hiding. Hiding God's Word in my heart, that is. He has a little ride on pooh-mobile, from his cousin Sammy, and the seat lifts up. I have realized that it has become his little "hiding" place. When I can't find his sippy cup or something I need from a drawer, I go on a hunt for the pooh-mobile, lift up the little seat, and sure enough, there it is. I want my life to be a "hunt" for God to hide His Word in my heart. I pray that Isaiah also learns this. He has such a special touch with people. He can make someone smile with his sweetness and he loves it. He loves all things and shows that by hugging. He even hugs his sippy cup. I pray that he is always thankful for what God has given him. And the funniest thing is when he smells or kisses feet. That makes me think of what a servant he is being. I am constantly reminded of Jesus washing the disciples feet when I see my baby boy. It makes me heart smile.
Father, please give my sweet Isaiah
the wonderful gift of your love. May
he be an encouragement to everyone
he meets. May he not keep your Word
to himself, but share it with all he meets.
Help Andy and I to be good parents who
show him Your love and salvation.

Bruno is home!
Bruno came home last night and seems to be doing well. He was rambunctious and excited to see us. Isaiah is so happy to have his dog home so he can kiss and hug him. So now we deal with insulin shots 2 times a day and trips to the vet to get his blood sugars checked. Unless we decide to invest in a glucometer to check it ourselves.
So, we are very happy to have a happy dog again. And we changed vets this morning as we are alittle upset with the way Bruno was treated. He was given insulin and sent home. He was in DKA (diabetic ketoacidosis), which is very life threatening. More tests should have been done to determine that and he should have been monitored instead of sent home. We praise the Lord that our bill for the EAC was a lot less than we expected.
Thanks to all who prayed, even though it is just a dog, I think God knows our hearts love and comforts us.

Bruno, our wonderful dog
I just had to post another picture of Bruno. As I write this, he is at the Emergency Animal Clinic in Watsontown. Possibly for a 3 day stay unless test results are good and he does well. He began having accidents in the house a week or so ago. We thought it was due to the shots he receives every so often for allergies. After it continued for an extended period, we started to get concerned. This morning he began vomiting.
Andy took him to the vet and they ran some tests. They concluded that he was diabetic and needed insulin shots twice a day. They dosed him up there and sent Andy home with meds and instructions. He had not eaten for 2 days and continued to refuse to eat after getting home. With my medical knowledge, I knew that he needed to eat since having insulin, so as not do drop his glucose too low. He continued to vomit and refused to eat. After being outside for a while, we called him in and he started staggering and was lethargic.
I called my cousin, who is almost finished with med school to be a vet (yeah Tanya) and she was very concerned that the vet didn't get more tests and that he was sent home. She suggested we take him to the Emergency Animal Clinic. I called the EAC and they recommended that we bring him down. So we did.
After a 2 hour wait, we finally saw the Dr, who knew my cousin Tanya, and thought best that Bruno be observed for a few days and have IV fluids and multiple tests done. He was wonderful. He got right down on the floor with Bruno to check him out instead of making him stand up. They worked up an approximate bill for us and we decided it best that Bruno get the care that he needs in order to get well. He just had a birthday Dec 12th and is only 6. Isaiah adores him more than anything. Bruno receives more hugs and kisses than any of us.
So, we sadly left Bruno in the care of a wonderful Dr and staff. While it was hard, we also hope he heals well and they find the problems and hopefully can fix them. Bruno was and is our baby. When we thought we would never have kids, he was our child. He is important to us. So, while we figure out how to pay the $1100 bill, we are hoping for the best outcome, so he is a part of our family for years to come.

Fun times
"But, I can't stop kissing Aunt Mer." Isaiah had a thing for Aunt Meredith this year. She was the recipient of all his hugs and kisses.
