Baby girl

Yesterday I had an ultrasound to get an idea of the baby's weight since I am dealing with the diet control diabetes thing. Grandma went along with us which helped since Isaiah gets scared when momma has to get on the bed.
Baby girl is doing well. She is still a girl! I had to confirm that since we have so much pink and purple now. She is just under 5 pounds and growing well. I have only gained about 14 pounds, so I am excited about that. The neatest thing was that the sonographer showed us her hair on her head. You could see it floating in the fluid. So cute! Maybe she will have a head full. Isaiah just had fuzz. But it was amazing to us to see it! She is also in the exact position to be delivered and very low, which the sonographer was surprised about. He thought I only had a month until she arrived, but when I said 7-8 weeks, he was surprised. Not sure what that means. Maybe she will arrive early or else my bladder will just suffer for another 7 weeks of being squashed! Anyways, he is hoping to get a profile shot of her at one of the ultrasounds.
Starting Sept 29th, I have to go for weekly ultrasounds and non stress tests. It is just routine with gestational diabetes. But it will be taking up 2 of my afternoons, plus I still have OB appt's in there as well. So 3 days a week I will be going to the Dr or hospital. Pray that all goes well and doesn't interfere with Andy's work schedule. It is easier for me to go by myself and not drag Isaiah along to be bored, crazy or scared.
So before we know it, we will be welcoming our sweet baby girl and everyone will know her name. (If she has one by then!)

Potty time

These have been the sights at our house lately since we are starting potty training. No success yet. But he has peed on the floor 2 times. He can't sit still for long. We watch TV and read books. That is the only way to keep Isaiah occupied. Of course, momma has to sit on the floor as well, which gets a little rough on her. I know once the baby comes, he will be even less apt to go potty. But I figured instilling it in him 7 weeks before the baby comes will help. So eventually we will be a diaper free house. He is proud when he sits on the potty though. I even bribe him with candy. The last picture was too cute not to capture, since that is the sight I see daily.

Thankfullness

Today, on my 28th birthday, I am so thankful for my family. I have a wonderful husband who provides for me and the kiddos and loves us so much. He is so wonderful with Isaiah, especially playing cars. I thank God that Andy is in my life.
I love my sweet little boy Isaiah. His smile, kisses and hugs brighten my day. I know he loves me by the way he runs behind me and squeezes my legs like there is no tomorrow, or the continuous kisses he gives me after his bath and I am trying to dress him. I prasie God for the gift of Isaiah.
And our sweet baby girl. My beautiful happiness! I can't wait to meet her and love her. Isaiah will be such a good brother to her.
For all these things, I thank God for blessing me!

McDonalds

After seeing daddy at church, we stopped at McDonalds on the way home to get lunch. Not a common ocurrence, but a little boy was chomping down, so I had to get pictures. He acted like he was starved! He enjoyed his cheeseburger and fries! Giving momma a great smile!

Water colors

I got Isaiah some water colors. Today we pulled them out since it was a yucky, rainy day and couldn't play outside. He had fun. I think he liked putting the paintbrush in water more than anything. He didn't get the concept of putting it in one color and then on the paper. He generally ran the brush through all the colors and then put it in the water and then colored on the paper. He did do one cute paper and we took it to daddy at work. He ran laps in the church foyer, so that got some energy out. Momma learned that she will never be a teacher and definitely not a art teacher. I don't like the paints all mixed and he didn't get it. Must be pregnancy hormones!

Being crazy

The other day, daddy pulled some weeds and a little boy decided to put them all in the pool and sit in them. Not sure why, but he was being crazy. Then he dumped them, turned the pool over and kept jumping on it like he was diving in the water. Of course, he had an audience of Nana and Grandpa, so he had to show off for a bit.

Hard working man

I ran a few errands the other night and came home to find Isaiah and daddy outside. It had rained most of the day, so a little boy was a mess. He took his hard hat outside with him. He looked so cute in it and posed for 1 picture for us.
