Beautiful Happiness

On October 28th at 0837 our precious baby girl came into the world. Bella Joy weighed 7lbs 6oz and is 20 inches long. Momma and baby came home today and are trying to adjust, especially with big brother. Bella is a wonderful baby and got the hang of nursing right away. Her brother loves to rub her soft hair and kiss her, but it only lasts for a few minutes. Pray as we adjust and try to get some sleep. Daddy has been wonderful as always. We will post pics when we get a chance. Thanks for any prayers sent our way!

Baby girl

I just wanted to ask everyone who looks at our blog to pray. Most of you know that I have bi-weekly non stress tests because of my gestational diabetes. I went in today for one. The new nurse manager was taking care of me and she was just wonderful! I was in a recliner because they were so busy. She kept coming in and looking at the strip that prints out of the babies heartrate and any contractions. Then she told me she was going to get the midwife, because the baby wasn't have as many accelerations in her heartrate like she should be. Heidi, the midwife came in and looked at the strip and watched the monitor for a while. She then pushed and shoved and pulled my belly to get the baby agitated. Then she watched the monitor some more, turned to the nurse and told her to get me in a bed and that I wasn't going anywhere. I remained very calm and then Heidi explained that when she did all that to my belly, the babies heartrate should have accelerated, but hers actually deccelerated. With enough medical knowledge, I understood. I went to a bed and they got me a soda because that can sometimes make the baby more active.
I called Andy to let him know that I might be a while and wasn't sure yet what was going on in case he needed to be ready to come to the hospital. He called his mom in case she needed to take Isaiah and sorry Mom B for giving you a heart attack.

After about another 30 mins, Heidi came back and said the baby responded better when I was in the bed, but still not as well as she should have. My next non stress test was scheduled for Tues, but Heidi advised that I need to do it Mon instead. So on Mon I go for my AFI (ultrasound) and then the non stress test.

Just pray that we have perfect peace about everything. This little girl is as active as always. I am having a lot more contractions, that are painful and lots of pressure. I am praying that she comes on her own and we don't have to wait another 10 days for the induction. I am so petrified of a c-section so I am praying for peace if that decision has to be made for our sweet daughter's safety. So I need to get all my stuff ready for the hospital in case things happen fast. I am so thankful for parents and in-laws that are so ready to help and care for us. Pray especially for our daughter's health and safe delivery. God has a perfect plan for her and we can't wait to meet her.

On another note, our realtor came by today to give us some pointers on the house before putting it on the market. She thinks it is a gold mine inside, but thinks the outside needs some help for curb appeal so she can get buyers in here. So we are looking at doing siding and windows. Give me peace about the cost of all that and the time that poor daddy will have to put into it, especially with a new baby and lack of sleep, all the while continuing his church duties. At least he has about 17 days off when the baby comes. Thanks for the prayers and love!

Lake Tobias

Today my parents took Isaiah to Lake Tobias, a wildlife zoo near Harrisburg. They said he had a blast and they loved every minute with him. When they pulled in and showed him some monkeys, he started to clap and got so excited. I know my parents will cherish these memories since they don't know how long they have to keep making them with him on a regular basis. I am so thankful for my parents and the great help that they give to us. I was able to have a moving sale, that wasn't very successful, but I got rid of some things.

lots of animals

Just some of the many pics of Isaiah and all the animals he got to see today. He looks so cute with Pap-pap!
He looks like my future 4H-er in this picture, like he is trying to show the goat. I love it!

so cute

Isaiah is just so cute with animals. I am sorry that I missed this day with him, but know that Nana and Pap-pap will cherish the memories.

So many animals

I love how Isaiah just walks right up to this little pony and feeds it. He has no fear of animals, which I love, but also hate!

I love the way Isaiah islooking at this one. They are just staring at each other.
This picture is just priceless. The little goat is so adorable. My mom said Isaiah loved it!

Camel

My mom said Isaiah was not too fond of the camel. She asked him if he wanted to pet it and he shook his head no.

goats and sheep

I thought Isaiah was so adorable with these. He is such an animal lover and it looks like he just loved being with them.
He got to feed them crackers.

Animals

This one is too funny! My mom said that they were told that a male zebra bred a female donkey and this was the result. The male zebra will not go anywhere near a female zebra now. I thought that was too funny! This is an interesting animal!

Beautiful

I thought these animals just looked so beautiful. I love God's creations. Isaiah did come home with a stuffed buffalo that is too cute!

I love this hairy fellow!

So many animals

Just random pictures of Isaiah at Lake Tobias. They ended up spending 4 hours there. My parents said Isaiah had a blast and was such a good boy. He is still sporting his rosy cheeks from the 5th's disease. I definitely think he does have it.

Pumpkin patch

Today my parents took Isaiah to a zoo near Harrisburg. They have been trying to go for over a month, but rain has always kept them away. Today they finally went, even though it was very cold. On the way they saw this roadside stand and wanted to get Isaiah's picture with all the pumpkins and flowers. I think he is too cute in his boots and John Deere sweatshirt.

2 year check up

Today Isaiah had his 2 year check up. This morning he woke up covered with a rash. Worried me a bit, but I was thankful we had his appointment. He did very well at the Dr's. He wasn't fond of the nurse and trying to get weighed and his height, but he is generally afraid of new things. After seeing the Dr, he was thinking that Isaiah might have fifth's disease, which is a virus. I knew that it can be harmful to pregnant women, so thankfully I had an appointment after Isaiah's with my OB. Everything is fine because I am so far along in my pregnancy. But after Isaiah took his nap, I thought the rash was very diminished and not really noticeable. At dinner he ate half of an apple and the rash showed up as bad as ever just like this morning. He had half an apple last night before bed. So I am thinking that it is from these apples I got the other day. He has always eaten apples, but I normally get red delicious. These are a golden yellow. So we had to hide them because Isaiah just loves fruit and always wants them. We are praying that the rash clears up and doesn't come back.

He got 2 shots at the Dr's and did wonderful. He watched the nurse put the needles in his arms and then apply the bandaids and didn't even utter a peep. She was very impressed too! He was more distraught about the bandaids. He hates to have them on. As soon as his shirt was off today and he could see them, they had to be taken off. He is so funny! So we have a very healthy little man that is growing way too fast!

At my appointment, they put me on the schedule to be induced on November 4th. Right now the baby looks good and is not too big. She is weighing in at 6lbs 9oz, but it is give or take a pound. So with 2 1/2 weeks until the induction, the Dr is not forseeing any problems. I will continue with the u/s and non stress tests every week. If anything changes, things may be moved up if I have an amnio and the baby is found to be completely ready to be born. One of the midwives that I like is on that day and the Dr that I've known for a very long time. (His daughter was our guest book attendant for our wedding). So it is looking like a good day for me. I already have my absentee ballot so I can vote. We just ask that you pray for us with all the changes and things taking place. We can't wait to meet our daughter and expand our family with our little princess.

Our backyard

I will greatly miss our backyard when we have to move. It has become such a peaceful place for me. Andy has always worked so hard on making it look wonderful with trees and flowers. Isaiah is holding onto my weeping willow tree. The one tree I have wanted all my life. I finally have one and have to let it go. Isaiah loves to shake it, even though he is told not to.

Isaiah had to show daddy the birdhouse, even though daddy knows it is there!
