Attacks of Satan

Sorry I have been MIA for a while, but our lives can't get any more hectic. We have no Father's Day pictures on here because a few days before Father's Day, Andy's dad suffered a stroke just above his brain stem. It was a mild stroke, but still left him with deficits. He has right sided weakness and slurred speech. As of today he is still in the hospital on the rehab floor. He is improving well, but still has a long road ahead of him.
On Father's Day our youth pastor's 4 year old daughter broke 7 bones in her foot and suffered a severe laceration. A few more centimetes and her toes could have been severed. We praise God that didn't happen and she is recovering well.
On July 1st a young couple from our church lost their baby. She was 30 weeks pregnant and has had leukemia and treatments the entire pregnancy. Ironically, the baby didn't die from anything related to the leukemia. They need so many prayers right now.
On July 5th Isaiah ended up in the Emergency Room covered with hives. We were and still are unsure of what caused them. They lasted until Sunday, which was very scary. At times his lips were swollen and once he seemed to have trouble swallowing. He lived on Benadryl every 6 hours. As of today he has still not had any and we are so thankful. We are praying that they don't return and that we could figure out the source of them if they do.
Our youth group went to LIFE in Orlando FL this past week. On their return trip, Pastor Steve and Andrea had to be dropped off at a hospital in Georgia where Andrea had to have emergency surgery. Her appendix perforated. Praise God that surgery went well and they are on their way home as I write.
Please pray against satan and his attacks. Help us to stand firm as a church and to join together to stand against any attacks that come our way. Pray that we have no divisions between us as a staff. Pray that Andy and I will stand strong as we are at the end of our ropes. Andy has been in charge of everything since his dad being in the hospital and when the youth pastor and administrator were in FL. Many people tell Andy that he is "getting a taste of running his own church", but are forgetting that it is also his dad that is sick, so that is added stress because he is also helping his mom and his siblings are doing a lot of traveling and care as well. Pray that more people will step up to help out and recognize when there is a need and not need Andy to ask them for every little thing that needs done. Most importantly that we stand strong in our marriage and don't let satan divide us and for me as I care for Isaiah by myself most days. We covet your prayers and love to us. We are sustained by them!
