Upate

Just wanted to write a quick update. We have been a sick household lately, but are slowly on the mend. After my surgery, I did well, just had some times of discomfort. I had a tubal ligation for those that are wondering. Kind of sad, but we know that God provided for us in ways that we could never imagine and if there are to be more children joining our family, God will provide through adoption.
Isaiah had been put on azithromycin and prednisone. Fri night (the day of my surgery), he spent the entire night crying and was inconsolable and restless. Sat morning he was okay for a few hours, but began the same routine over again. I finally called the Dr's office and was advised to take him to the ER as it is not normal for a child to be crying over 24 hours. I had little sleep that night. Thank the Lord for my mom who stayed and that Bella slept well. After being in the ER we were advised to stop the prednisone as that can cause bad side effects and they contributed that to his unusual behavior. They also said we could stop the antibiotic, but that was our call. There was nothing they could find, so they figured whatever was ailing him was viral and an antibiotic wouldn't do anything, so I stopped that as well. Mon night we received a call from an ER nurse, who told us that Isaiah had pneumonia, so to continue the antibiotic. (A radiologist had read his chest x-ray on Mon and found the infiltrate, which is a sign of pneumonia). So we started the antibiotic again and called the Dr Tues. So far, he seems to be doing well. The coughing has ceased greatly. For a few days, he couldn't do much physical activity as it would send him into coughing fits, causing him to vomit. But that is passing and he is back to his mischieveous self!
On Wed I noticed Bella starting to wheeze, but assumed it was an upper respiratory wheeze, therefore, not being into her lungs to cause any problems. By evening it had gotten worse, so I listened to her lungs with my stethoscope. Good thing because she ended up in the ER as well having nebulizer treatments. They were thinking of admiting her, but decided against it, (not what momma wanted) and she was sent home. By the time we got an appt the next day with the Dr, she was horrible again. She had to have a treatment in the office and we were sent home with a nebulizer and albuterol. On Thurs, she had a total of 6 treatments from noon to 10pm. That is how bad she was. We are down to about 1 or 2 a day. She is still very congested and coughing. She is also getting spoiled from being held while she sleeps that I am having problems getting her to sleep in her crib. I finally swaddled her today and got her down. Hopefully it lasts!
So that has been our life. I also have a cold and cough. But we are all on the mend and hopeful of all that God has in store for us in the coming weeks.
